We live with uncertainty. Doubts can creep into our lives at any moment of the day, for any reason. The dubiousness of life; however, is the one thing that remains certain. Our egos want to control our lives. Our ego convinces us erroneously that we can avoid chaos, by confining every aspect of our life into an orderly pattern. We are deceived by the logical mind, thinking that we can circumvent potential glitches through control.
Our lives are more a dance, than a journey, choreographed by a silent partner. We can stumble awkwardly over the dance floor of life when we are young and filled with hormonal fortitude, but with the accumulation of missteps and dizzying turns, we slow our pace. We become less nimble, but more sure of our movements. We trust where we once lacked confidence. We let go where we once grasped. We learn that there is in fact, no absolute that we can rely on, other than our silent partner. The universe itself is in a never ending dance between order and chaos, yin and yang, light and dark. We learn to accept both. We learn to trust it implicitly and know it has our back.
